יחסי טאיוואן–לטביה הם היחסים הדיפלומטיים הרשמיים שבין הרפובליקה הסינית לבין רפובליקת לטביה.

היסטוריה

היחסים בין הרפובליקה הסינית לרפובליקת לטביה כוננו בשנת 1923 כאשר הכירה הרפובליקה הסינית (ששלטה אז בשטח כל סין) בלטביה דה יורה. לאחר כיבוש המדינות הבלטיות על ידי ברית המועצות בשנת 1940 הייתה הרפובליקה הסינית מבין המדינות היחידות בעולם שלא הכירו בריבונותה של ברית המועצות שם, כאשר היא מתייחסת ללטביה בתור מדינה עצמאית לחלוטין במשך כל שנותיה כרפובליקה קומוניסטית.

לאחר פירוק ברית המועצות בשנת 1991 וחזרת עצמאותה של לטביה, כוננה לטביה יחסים עם הרפובליקה העממית של סין, מה שדרש ממנה לנתק כל קשר עם ידידתה הרפובליקה הסינית שבינתיים הפכה לטאיוואן.[1] שתי המדינות שומרות על היחסים ביניהן בצורה לא פורמלית ומסחרית בעיקר.

נציגויות דיפלומטיות

  • טאיוואן אינה מיוצגת בלטביה בדרג השגרירות והן בדרג הקונסולרי. היא מיוצגת בלטביה באמצעות משרד ייצוגי ללא דרג דיפלומטי הממוקם בבירה ריגה.[2]
  • לטביה אינה מיוצגת בטאיוואן בדרג השגרירות והן בדרג הקונסולרי. היא מיוצגת בטאיוואן באמצעות משרד ייצוגי ללא דרג דיפלומטי הממוקם בבירה טאיפיי.
