יחסי איסלנד–הודו הם היחסים הדו-צדדיים בין איסלנד להודו. מבחינה היסטורית, היחסים הדו-צדדיים ההודיים-איסלנדיים היו ידידותיים אך חסרו תוכן מהותי.[1] איסלנד והודו כוננו יחסים דיפלומטיים בשנת 1972. באותה תקופה שגרירות איסלנד בלונדון, בריטניה הוסמכה להודו ושגרירות הודו באוסלו, נורווגיה, הוסמכה לאיסלנד. שגרירויות הוקמו בניו דלהי בשנת 2005 וברייקיאוויק בשנת 2006.

היסטוריה

איסלנד והודו כוננו יחסים דיפלומטיים בשנת 1975. שגרירות איסלנד בלונדון, בריטניה הוסמכה להודו ושגרירות הודו באוסלו, נורווגיה, הוסמכה לאיסלנד. עם זאת, רק אחרי 2005 החלו שתי המדינות לחזק את היחסים הדיפלומטיים והכלכליים. בשנת 2005 ערך נשיא איסלנד, אולפור רגנר גרימסון, את ביקורו הראשון של נשיא איסלנד בהודו. במהלך הביקור התחייבה איסלנד למועמדותה של הודו למושב קבוע במועצת הביטחון של האומה המאוחדת, ובכך הפכה למדינה הנורדית הראשונה שעשתה זאת. לאחר מכן הגיע ביקור רשמי של נשיא הודו עבדול קאלאם באיסלנד במאי 2005.[1] בעקבות זאת נפתחה שגרירות חדשה של איסלנד בניו דלהי ב-12 בפברואר 2006.[2] עד מהרה ביקר צוות חיל הים ההודי באיסלנד במשימה ידידותית.[3]

יחסים כלכליים

איסלנד ייצאה סחורות להודו בסך של 1.14 מיליון דולר בשנת 2007. פריט הייצוא העיקרי היה מוצרי דגים, בעיקר בקלה, שהסתכמו ב-77% מסך היצוא. פריטים אחרים כללו מוצרים תעשייתיים ומוצרים רפואיים. הודו ייצאה באותה שנה סחורות בשווי 18.95 מיליון דולר לאיסלנד באותה שנה, בה נתח מוצרי הצריכה היה הגדול ביותר עם 52.5% מסך היצוא, ואחריהם חומרי גלם עמדו על 37.8%. הסחר בין שתי המדינות עדיין נחשב מוגבל, אך עם פוטנציאל צמיחה.[4] עד שנת 2007 סך המסחר הדו צדדי היה 26.7 מיליון דולר, מתוכם הייבוא מהודו היה 25.1 מיליון דולר והיצוא להודו היה 1.6 מיליון דולר.[5]

הסכמים

הודו ואיסלנד חתמו על אמנה למניעת כפל מס לחיזוק קשרי שיתוף הפעולה הכלכלי. האמנה מכסה את מיסי ההכנסה, הדיבידנד, הריבית, התמלוגים והעמלות בגין שירותים טכניים וקובעת כי שיעור המס במדינה בה הועברה ההכנסה לא יכול להיות גבוה מ-10%.[6] שתי המדינות חתמו גם על מזכר הבנות לשיתוף פעולה בתחום האנרגיה המתחדשת. איסלנד והודו משתפות פעולה בתאי מימן ותאי דלק במסגרת הפורום של שותפות בינלאומית לכלכלת מימן.[7]

שתי המדינות חתמו גם על הסכמה למחקר על חריגות לקראת רעידות אדמה, שזכו לשבחים בינלאומיים.[8] בשנת 2007, שתי המדינות חתמו גם על הסכמה בנושא פיתוח דייגים בר קיימא והסכם הגנה על השקעות דו צדדי.[5]
