הנס קראסה (בצ'כית: Hans Krása;‏ 30 בנובמבר 1899 – 17 באוקטובר 1944) היה מלחין צ'כי שנרצח באושוויץ-בירקנאו. הוא היה ממארגני חיי התרבות במחנה טרזין.

חייו

הנס קראסה נולד בפראג לאב צ'כי שהיה עורך דין ולאם יהודיה-גרמניה. הוא למד לנגן הן בפסנתר והן בכינור בילדותו ובהמשך למד הלחנה באקדמיה למוזיקה בפראג. אחרי סיום לימודיו, התקבל לעבודה כסגן-מנצח בתיאטרון הגרמני החדש, שם התוודע אל המלחין והמנצח אלכסנדר זמלינסקי, שהשפיע רבות על הקריירה של קראסה.[1]

בשנת 1927 נסע בעקבות זמלינסקי לברלין, שם התוודע אל המלחין הצרפתי אלבר רוסל. קראסה, שמקורות ההשפעה העיקריים שלו היו מאהלר, שנברג וזמלינסקי, חש קרבה גם למוזיקה צרפתית, בייחוד לחבורת המלחינים שנודעה כקבוצת השישה, ונסע פעמים רבות לצרפת ללמוד אצל רוסל בתקופה שבה חי בברלין. הגעגועים הביתה השיבו את קראסה לבסוף לפראג, שם חזר למשרתו הקודמת כסגן-מנצח בתיאטרון הגרמני החדש. יציאתו הראשונה לעולם כמלחין הייתה ביצירה ב"ארבעה שירים תזמורתיים" אופוס 1, שהתבססה על "שירי גרדום" (Galgenlieder) של כריסטיאן מורגנשטרן. היצירה בוצעה לראשונה בניצוחו של זמלינסקי בפראג, במאי 1921, וזכתה לשבחים רבים.[2] אחריה נכתבו רביעיית מיתרים, קובץ של חמישה שירים לקול ופסנתר וה"סימפוניה לתזמורת קטנה", שבוצעה בפסטיבל ציריך, פריז ובוסטון. הישגו המשמעותי ביותר, מכל מקום, הייתה האופרה "אירוסין בחלום" (Verlobung im Traum) על פי הרומן "חלום הדוֹד" מאת דוסטויבסקי. יצירה זו בוצעה לראשונה בתיאטרון הגרמני החדש בפראג בשנת 1933, בניצוחו של גאורג סל וזכתה בפרס מדינת צ'כוסלובקיה.

בשנת 1927 נלווה אל זמלינסקי בנסיעתו לקרולאופר בברלין. הוא קיבל הצעות ניצוח מברלין, פריז ושיקגו, אך התקשה להיענות למשרה בארץ נוכריה וחזר לפראג לפני תום השנה.[3]

אופרת ילדים בשם ברונדיבר, המבוססת על מחזה מאת אריסטופאנס, הייתה היצירה האחרונה שקראסה השלים לפני שנאסר על ידי הנאצים ב-10 באוגוסט 1942. קראסה נשלח לגטו טרזין, שם עיבד את "ברונדיבר" להתאימה למבצעים שעמדו לרשותו. האופרה בוצעה 56 פעמים במחנה ומונצחת גם בסרט התעמולה הידוע לשימצה שהנאצים הפיקו בשביל הצלב האדום בשנת 1944. בתקופת מאסרו בגטו, היה קראסה בשיא יצירתו. הוא הרבה לחבר מוזיקה קאמרית, אך מחמת הנסיבות, חלק מן היצירות לא שרדו.

מותו

קראסה נלקח למחנה ההשמדה אושוויץ יחד עם עמיתיו המלחינים, ויקטור אולמן, פאבל האס וגדעון קליין. הוא נרצח ב-17 באוקטובר 1944; עוד לא מלאו לו אז 45 שנים.
