אסנטי דואה מא'אט (באנגלית: Asante Duah Ma'at; נולד ב-20 באוקטובר 2001), הידוע בשם הבמה אסנטי בלאק, הוא שחקן אמריקאי. הוא ידוע בעיקר בזכות תפקידו במיני-סדרה "כשהם רואים אותנו" (2019), שעליו היה מועמד לפרס אמי בפריים טיים.[1][2][3] הוא מוכר גם בזכות תפקידו בתור מאליק הדג'ס בסדרת הטלוויזיה "החיים עצמם" (2019–2022).

קורות חיו

בלאק נולד ביישוב וולדורף (אנ'), מרילנד. הוא החל לשחק כשהיה תלמיד בית ספר יסודי בבית הספר ג'ודית פ' הויר, בית ספר הפועל בשיטת מונטסורי. לאחר מכן למד בבית הספר התיכון נורת' פוינט (אנ'), אותו סיים בשנת 2020.

הוא אחיינה של השחקנית סמירה ויילי.[4]

קריירה

בגיל חמש קיבל את תפקידו הראשון בתור מוגלי בהפקה מקומית של ההצגה "ספר הג'ונגל". אחד מתפקידיו המקצועיים הראשונים היה במחזה "How I Learned to Be a Kid" בתיאטרון הווארד (אנ') בוושינגטון, ולאחר מכן הוחתם אצל סוכן שחקנים.

בשנת 2019 שיחק בלאק במיני-סדרת הדרמה "כשהם רואים אותנו", שנוצרה, נכתבה ובוימה על ידי אווה דוברני עבור שירות הזרמת המדיה "נטפליקס", תחילה, נבחן בלאק במקור לתפקיד של "קורי וייז", אחד המעורבים בפרשת האצנית בסנטרל פארק, אך במקום זאת הוא לוהק לתפקיד קווין ריצ'רדסון בן ה-14.[5] התפקיד זיכה אותו במועמדות לפרס אמי לבידור בפריים טיים לשחקן המשנה הטוב ביותר, מה שהפך אותו לאחד המועמדים הצעירים בתולדות הפרס.[6] עוד באותה שנה הצטרף בתור אחת הדמויות הראשיות לעונה הרביעית של סדרת הדרמה "החיים עצמם" מבית רשת NBC, בדמותו של מאליק הדג'ס,[7] ובלאק אף היה מועמד עבור תפקידו לפרס איגוד מבקרי הקולנוע האמריקאי ולפרס Black Reel. הוא המשיך לשחק בסדרה גם בעונות 6-5.

בשנת 2022 החל לדבב את דמותו של כרים עבדול-ג'באר בראון (נקרא על שמם של כרים עבדול-ג'באר וג'יימס בראון) בסדרה ההנפשה "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder" בשירות הזרמת המדיה "דיסני+"; סדרה זו מהווה חידוש לסדרה "The Proud Family" ששודרה במקור בערוץ דיסני בין השנים 2001–2005.

בשנת 2023 שיחק בסרט המדע-בדיוני "Landscape with Invisible Hand" שביים וכתב קורי פינלי (אנ') המבוסס על הרומן באותו שם מאת הסופר מ"ט אנדרסון (אנ'). בסרט גילם בלאק את דמותו של אדם קמפבל, בנה של בת' (טיפאני האדיש).
