Lúthien

Lúthien e Beren son personaxes do mundo de fantasía da Terra Media, creados polo autor inglés J. R. R. Tolkien. Lúthien é unha elfa, filla de Thingol e Melian. Beren é un home mortal. A complexa historia do seu amor mutuo, e a busca á que se ven obrigados a seguir, triunfando contra as probabilidades abafadoras pero rematando en traxedia, aparece na obra O Silmarillion, no poema épico The Lay of Leithian, nos Grey Annals de The War of the Jewels e noutros textos do legandarium de Tolkien, onde xogan un papel central. A historia tamén é narrada por Aragorn a Frodo na obra O Señor dos Aneis.

A historia de Beren e Lúthien, a dama elfa inmortal que casa cun home mortal e que escolle a mortalidade para ela mesma, ten o seu eco na obra de Tolkien The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen. Os nomes de Lúthien e Beren aparecen gravados na tumba de Tolkien e da súa esposa Edith.
