Les Championnats d'Afrique d'athlétisme sont une compétition biennale en plein air organisée par la Confédération africaine d'athlétisme qui désigne un champion d'Afrique pour chaque discipline majeure de l'athlétisme. Les premiers Championnats d'Afrique eurent lieu en 1979 à Dakar.
