Ce canton est organisé autour de Beaumetz-les-Loges dans l'arrondissement d'Arras. Son altitude varie de 67 m (Agnez-lès-Duisans) à 178 m (La Herlière) pour une altitude moyenne de 109 m.

Histoire

De 1833 à 1848, les cantons de Beaumetz-les-Loges et de Pas avaient le même conseiller général. Le nombre de conseillers généraux était limité à 30 par département[1].
