Tuomas Tahko

Tuomas Tahko (s. 1982) on vakituinen Professor of Metaphysics of Science Bristolin yliopistossa Englannissa[1] ja teoreettisen filosofian dosentti sekä entinen Akatemiatutkija ja yliopistonlehtori Helsingin yliopistossa.[2] Hänen erikoisalojaan ovat metafysiikka, tieteenfilosofia, tietoteoria, metafilosofia, mielen filosofia, filosofinen logiikka ja filosofian metodologia.[2] Tahko väitteli filosofian tohtoriksi Durhamin yliopistossa vuonna 2008, ohjaajanaan Professori E.J. Lowe.[3] Tahko on julkaissut kymmeniä artikkeleja kansainvälisissä lehdissä kuten Mind ja Philosophical Quarterly sekä lukuisia artikkeleita toimitetuissa teoksissa. Lisäksi hän on toimittanut useita teoksia ja kirjoittanut kaksi kirjaa.[3] Vuonna 2017 Tahko voitti liki kahden miljoonan euron rahoituksen Euroopan tiedeneuvostostolta (Consolidator Grant) projektilleen tieteen metafyysisestä ykseydestä.[4]
