Otto Mauritz Nordström

Otto Mauritz Nordström (8. heinäkuuta 1819 Pyhtää – 15. tammikuuta 1897 Säkkijärvi)[1] oli suomalainen pappi, opettaja ja valtiopäivämies.

Henkilöhistoria

Nordströmin vanhemmat olivat kirkkoherra Samuel Nordström ja Helena Sofia Giösling ja puoliso vuodesta 1848 Eufrosyne Sofia Ottelin (k. 1887). Nordström tuli ylioppilaaksi 1836, valmistui filosofian maisteriksi 1849 ja lisensiaatiksi 1849 ja väitteli filosofian tohtoriksi 1850. Papiksi hänet vihittiin 1854, rovastin arvon hän sai 1879. Nordström oli Porvoon lukion saksan kielen opettaja vuodesta 1848, lukion apulainen vuodesta 1850, filosofian lehtori vuodesta 1852 ja historian lehtori vuodesta 1857. Säkkijärven kirkkoherra hänestä tuli 1869, astuen virkaan 1872. Nordström oli pappissäädyssä edustaja valtiopäivillä 1877 ja 1882.[1]

Taideteollisuuskeskuskoulun johtaja, intendentti ja professori Ernst Nordström oli Otto Mauritz Nordströmin poika.[2]
