Xapitela, kapitela edo orratza, dorre, kanpandorre edo eliza baten tontorrean, amaiera bezala kokatzen den arkitektura elementu bat da.
Xapitelen forma, arkitektura estilo ezberdinen araberakoa izan daiteke, piramide, kono edo erraboiltsua izan daitekeelarik eta gezi zorrotz eran amaitu, bere erabilera, gotikoan nabarmentzen delarik, non tenpluaren amaiera ikusgarria eta Jainkoaganako hurbiltzearen ikur bihurtzen diren.
