Isoxazola edo 1,2-oxazola konposatu organiko heteroziliko aromtikoa da, C3H3NO formula duena, azolen klasekoa. Isomoero bat du, oxazola. Likido marroixka da. Sukoia eta korrosiboa da[1].
Halaber isoxaxol esaten zaie deribatu ordezkatuei esaten zaio. Isoxazolaren erradikalari isoxazolilo esaten zaio.

Isoxazol-eraztunak produktu naturaletan aurki daitezke hala nola azido ibotenikoan eta muszimolean, bi-biak kuleto faltsuaren eragin psicotropikoen erantzuleak.

Sintesia
Isoxazola lehen aldiz 1903an sintetizatu zen. Ludwig Claisenek propinala hidroxilaminarekin erreakzionarazi zuen[4].
