Arverni edo arveniarrak[1] egungo Auvernian, Frantziako Erdialdeko Mendigunea inguruan, bizi zen herri galiarra izan zen. Erdialdeko Galiako herri nagusienetariko bat izan zen, zenbait aldiz erromatarrak borrokatu zituena.[2]
Galietako Gerra eta gero, egungo Clermont-Ferranden zegoen Gergovia zuten hiriburu baina lehen Corent eta Gondole oppidumak omen ziren. Aztarnategietan topaturiko aztarnen arabera, zaldiz eta zaldunez osaturiko hilobi kolektiboak, erregeek erabiltzen zituzten tenpluak edo txanponak egiten zituzten.
Vercingetorix galiar buruzagia (K.a. 46an hila) arveniar leinukoa zen.[1]
