Ana María Crespo de las Casas (Santa Cruz Tenerifekoa, 1948ko martxoaren 30a) kanariar biologoa da.[1] Zientzia Biologikoetan doktoratu zen Madrilgo Unibertsitate Konplutentsean (UCM). Espainiako Zientzia Zehatz, Fisiko eta Naturalen Errege Akademiako Natur Zientzien Ataleko presidentea da[2] eta 2024ko ekainaren 26tik aurrera, 1847an sortutako Erakunde horren lehen emakume-burua izango da.[3][4]

Ibilbidea

1970ean UCMn Biologian lizentziatu ondoren, unibertsitate berean doktoretza egin zuen eta 1973an amaitu zuen. Bere tesiari, "Guadarrama mendilerroko liken epifitoen flora eta landaredia ezagutzen laguntzea","Bikain cum Laude" kalifikazioa eman zioten.[5]1983tik botanikako katedraduna da UCMko Farmazia Fakultatean.[6] Likenoen (askomizete likenizatuak, mikologia) ikerketa ebolutiboa, sistematikoa eta ekologikoa (biodetekzioa) landu ditu batez ere.

Crespok ezaugarri fenotipikoen eta genomikoen arteko erlazioan lan egin du, onddoen homoplasia morfologiko handia agerian utziz eta likenoetan espezie kriptiko ugari egon ohi direla adieraziz. Onddoen egungo eboluzio-sistematika eratzen ere lagundu du, bereziki generoaren kontzeptu modernoaren definizioari egindako ekarpenarekin. Espezieen (animaliak, landareak eta onddoak) identifikazio molekularrean ere lan egin du eta DNA-Barcoding diseinatzen laguntzen du.

Programa Antartikoaren Espainiako Batzordeko presidentea izan zen 1988 eta 1994 artean. Unibertsitate eta Ikerketako Estatu Idazkariaren Kabineteko zuzendari nagusia izan zen 1987 eta 1991 artean. 1991 eta 1993 artean Unibertsitateetako zuzendari nagusia izan zen. Crespo Ikerketa Jarduera Ebaluatzeko Batzorde Nazionalaren (CNEAI) koordinatzaile nagusia izan zen 2005 eta 2008 artean. 2006tik, Zientzia Zehatz, Fisiko eta Naturalen Errege Akademiako Akademiko Urgazlea da.

2010eko urriaren 27an, Zientzia Zehatz, Fisiko eta Naturalen Errege Akademiako Zenbakizko Akademiko izendatu zuten. SYSTEMOL ikerketa taldeko eta UCMko Landare Biologia II Saileko zuzendaria da.
