Alokairuko ibilgailu gidaridunak (AIG) bidaiariak leku batetik bestera eramaten dituztenak dira. Ohiko garraio publikoaren aldean (non bezeroek geltoki jakin batzuetan igo eta jeitsi behar izaten diren) AIG-etan bezeroek, neurri batean, bidaia non hasi eta non amaitu erabaki dezakete. Era berean, AIG-ak ez dira nahastu behar gidaririk gabeko alokairuko ibilgailuekin.

Taxia ere alokairuko ibilgailu gidariduna da berez (zaharrena eta munduan hedatuena[1]); halere, AIG izena taxiak ez diren beste zerbitzuei eman ohi zaio.
