    La arquidiócesis de Calabozo (en latín: Archidioecesis Calabocensis) es una sede metropolitana de la Iglesia católica.

    Está actualmente dirigida por el arzobispo monseñor Manuel Felipe Díaz Sánchez.

    Historia

    Diócesis

    La diócesis de Calabozo fue erigida el 7 de marzo de 1863, tomando territorio de la arquidiócesis de Caracas y de la diócesis de Mérida (hoy arquidiócesis).

    Originalmente era sufragánea de la arquidiócesis de Caracas.[1]​

    El primer obispo de la diócesis fue nombrado en 1881.

    El 7 de junio de 1954 cedió una porción de su territorio para la creación de la Diócesis de Guanare y de la prelatura territorial de San Fernando de Apure (hoy diócesis).

    Sucesivamente cede territorio para la creación de nuevas diócesis:

    El 17 de junio de 1995 es elevada al rango de arquidiócesis metropolitana.

    Territorio

    La arquidiócesis comprende parte del estado venezolano de Guárico, específicamente toda la parte occidental. Cubre los Municipios: Roscio, Ortiz, Mellado, Miranda, Camaguán y San Gerónimo de Guayabal.

    La sede episcopal se encuentra en la ciudad de Calabozo, donde se encuentra la Catedral de Todos Los Santos.

    Su territorio está dividido en 36 parroquias.
