Lajos Csapody [lajoŝ ĉapodi], laŭ hungarlingve kutima nomordo Csapody Lajos estis hungara pastro, monaĥo, episkopo, profesoro, preposto, kanoniko, abato. Lia nobela antaŭnomo estis szalalövői, lia familia nomvarianto estis Csapodi. Lia frato estis László Csapody.

Lajos Csapody [1] naskiĝis la 8-an de oktobro 1729 en Hungara reĝlando en Petőfalva (nuntempa vilaĝparto en Pečeňady en Slovakio). Li mortis la 6-an de junio 1801 en Veszprém (urbo).

Biografio

Lajos Csapody lernis en Graz, Vieno, fine en Reĝa Universitato de Nagyszombat, kie li doktoriĝis. Li aliĝis al la jezuitoj en 1747. Post siaj studoj li instruis en gimnazio en Buda, post jaroj li estis lernejestro. En 1758 li pastriĝis. Ekde 1761 li instruis en la menciita universitato, kie li estis dekano inter 1766 kaj 1772. En 1773 la ordeno estis malpermesita, tial li iĝis lernejestro en Nagyszombat, en la sekva jaro li havis postenon en la universitata biblioteko. En la studjaro 1775 li estis rektoro. En 1777 li ne sekvis la translokigitan universitaton al Buda, sed li iĝis preposto kaj kanoniko de Veszprém, krome ankaŭ inspektoro de seminario en la sama urbo. En la sekva jaro li estis nomumita abato, en 1798 titulara episkopo.
