HUYNG BA DUONG (naskiĝis la 5-a de marto 1910 en Hue; mortodata nekonata) estis vjetnama poŝtoficisto, kiu verkis la unuan Esperanto-lernolibron kaj -vortaron por vjetnamoj.

Huyng ekesperantiĝis en 1929; li estis la unua vjetnamano-esperantisto. Li fariĝis aktiva propagandisto en la tiama Hindoĉinujo, precipe en la iama franca protektorato Annamo, nuna centra Vjetnamio, instruisto de Esperanta kurso per la vjetnama lingvo, kaj de perkoresponda kurso en vjetnamaj gazetoj. Li verkis lernolibron por vjetnam-lingvanoj, kiu enhavas la unuan vortaron Esperanto-vjetnama (Hanoi 1932).

Noto pri la nomo

Kvankam lia nomo estas literumita kiel "Huyng Ba Duong" en la Enciklopedio de Esperanto (EdE), p. 385 (ĉu eble laŭ franca transskribo?), la ĝusta nomo verŝajne estas "Huynh Ba Duong" (vjetname Huỳnh Bá Dưỡng[1][2]). La vorto Huyng ne ekzistas en la ortografio de la vjetnama alfabeto (quốc ngữ). Huỳnh estas familia nomo, tiel normala, kiel Hoàng signifanta flavan. La Enciklopedio en p. 348 literumas "Huynh-Ba-Duong".

EdE plue uzas la malnovan popol- kaj lingvo-nomon "anamano" / "anamana", skribante ĝin per unu -n- (de Annam aŭ Annamo, du -nn-), per kiu la unuaj eŭropanoj ĝenerale nomis vjetnamojn kaj la vjetnaman lingvon, ekz. portugalaj misiistoj en frua vortaro vjetnama-latina-portugala ("Dictionarium Annamaticum", Romo 1651). Pli konkrete Annamo ankaŭ estas la nomo de iama franca protektorato (1884-1948) en centra Vjetnamio.
