General summary pages that have see also links to other Scouting pages. Use to lead users to more in depth articles. No longer disambiguation pages due to all the confusion of different naming conventions. All other plurals redirect to the singular per Wikipedia standard, not to Scouting or a separate organization oriented article
There are actually quite a few unsourced similar dab pages. Do you all want to keep them and source them, or delete them? Bearian (talk) 12:51, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that the description at the top for the purpose of the articles Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, etc. didn't exactly make sense: "General summary pages that have see also links to other Scouting pages. Used to avoid to lead users to more indepth articles, no longer disambiguation pages due to all the confusion of different naming conventions. All other plurals redirect to the singular per Wikipedia standard, not to Scouting or a separate organization oriented article"; the previous version was "Disambiguation pages due to all the confusion of different naming conventions. All other plurals redirect to the singular per Wikipedia standard, not to Scouting or a separate organization oriented article ". I edited it so it made some sense. I hunted down the revision (July 2007) where the last change took place (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Scouting&oldid=144658662) and the discussion related to it Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Scouting/Archive_2007#Girl_Guides_-_dab_or_stub?. However the discussion doesn't seem to fully support the change in text. In addition the Girl Guides article certainly isn't following either version. Thoughts? --Erp (talk) 10:20, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
