OK, lets start whenever you are ready. I want to learn more about counter-vandalism tools, specifically Huggle, for now. I have rollback rights and I am currently setting it up. Besides, I am also an aspiring admin, so I hope you can kind of train me until I am ready. ★ Oliverlyc ★ ✈✈✈ Pop me a message!06:18, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
I believe you reverted my edit in error. Degrees from Cambridge University are generally denoted by the suffix "Cantab", those from Oxford with "Oxon".78.86.61.94 (talk) 06:50, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Editing the flags on Naruto page
Hallo I don't see how I am vandalizing anybody's work. Last time I checked, every single manga/anime page has flag icons to represent the country's that are associated with it's development and/or distribution. Furthermore I have never given a cause I think is vital and I will not give up now even with your threats. I gave Tinor2 the reason why I was going against his edeting of the Naruto page and if you want to find out you can go too his talk page and see the section I put on it. If there is a better way to send messages could you please show me because I only recently started getting messages from other wikipedians. Again I do not want to have an edit war, I simply look at the benefits I think the Naruto page has with the edit that I made and the one's you are reverting, I hope we can resolve this issue as quickly as possible and continue to improve the Naruto page and all other pages that we are intrested in as this website was intended to be for. Thank You Yengamaurice

Would you please explain why you would revert my change to this article?? I replaced a dead link of the source with one that is still active and condensed the three cites into a collapsed one. The revert was not appropriate nor did it fix the problem as it existed. Dead links are not appropriate. 75.205.39.214 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:10, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I will change it back. It took me a while to find the extant article as Salon likes to change its links after a while. 75.205.39.214 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:16, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

I'm been watching your edits and you seem to have a great grasp on reverting vandalism. Keep up the good work! Dan653 (talk) 14:46, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi Oliver, I reverted your revert - I think you and Ironholds reverted at the same time which meant that you undid his and put the vandalism back. But fixed now :). Callanecc (talk • contribs) talkback (etc) template appreciated. 14:10, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
G'day
G'day, I am a nominator for the Pavle Djurisic article to A Class, and helped bring it to GA. I have only rv'd one edit there. I appreciate your warning, but ask that you also have a look at the editing behaviour of User:HuHu22. I see it as highly disruptive POV editing making sweeping claims about accepted WP:RS being communists. Looks like WP:DONTLIKEIT to me. Peacemaker67 (talk) 14:11, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
What's the ms.wiki talk page? I've never heard of it. :( I can't find it either, even after looking through your contributions. Any clue (link etc?). Oliverlyc08:33, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Oliver, I recently made a change to the Perion Networks wiki. I pointed out that this company is making money through malware. I do not see how this comment is not constructive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.58.202.205 (talk) 14:38, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi there. Are there sufficient evidence to show that the company in question has been making money through malware, or is it some "myth"? Thanks! Oliverlyc01:09, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
The sources are all forum posts, and worse yet all of them only have a few posts in them. I did manage to find a few guides on how to remove their "Incredibar", but otherwise their company's operation seems legit enough. I'm not defending the company (I hate companies that make "spammy" toolbars too), but Wikipedia is not a place to rant about your bad experiences with a particular company. I'll add a note in the article's talk page for you, and see what future contributors will go about doing it. Meanwhile, please leave the article as it is. Thanks! Oliverlyc01:41, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
3 years ago the community have already discussed the issue at the talk page. It seems dead now. Feel free to add your own comment if you wish. Oliverlyc01:46, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
ScHoolboy Q - gang edit
I think my edit was constructive.
ScHoolboy Q tweeted that he capitalizes the H because of "....Hoover..." and that is a reference to the Hoover Crip gang. 74.101.128.155 (talk) 05:25, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
It looked unconstructive to me because you created a link to the "gang" page, with "Hoover" as the text. I don't think that link will be needed, but otherwise please continue your contributions to Wikipedia! :) Oliverlyc05:28, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
removal of the line "rice bowl of india"
hey guys
i think i did it in the correct way, check out "rice bowl of india" is not tamilnadu but its andhra pradesh.
and we should be able to convey our messages to unknown reader correctly and efficiently
Thanks Oliver. We better get to work on the haze article. It's hit 290, not sure if typo or what. But it's everywhere. ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 13:40, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
It's pretty much official. NEA, News 5 Tonight are all reporting PSI levels of 290. I'll find a haze map to add to the article. Oliverlyc13:43, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Added. I need help with the licensing of the image though. The copyright belongs to NEA, and their Terms of Use is very confusing regarding use of their information on other websites. :( Oliverlyc14:09, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Stalker Hey, I think that map is really useful. How about if we make a map like that, but not copy it directly, only pick up the information on it like I did on this before (See the image summary on the source section). Cheers! :) — иz нίpнόpʜᴇʟᴘ!14:22, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
∗sighs∗ Alright, it's late tonight, so I'll do it tomorrow. Keep your eyes open, I should have a copy up and running by 9 am GMT+8. Cheers! (meanwhile we'll see what the Commons help desk have got to say about the image) Oliverlyc14:26, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
??? I still don't get it. Oliver was saying that he was going to use the original to create a new, similar one, right? ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 14:34, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Nope, it has a same information but a little map difference..
Thanks people :D I'm currently trying to make the map more accurate. The current one is a VERY VERY rough (and inaccurate, to be honest) copy (I think the folks at NEA at laughing at the map right now, though they have much more urgent things to attend to). Oliverlyc07:10, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
It should be accurate. The red area does NOT cover ANY part of Singapore at all. It only covers part of the Malaysian western coast. Oliverlyc07:45, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
As far as I can see the yellow line is accurate. Can you tell me a specific part of it? (like the Singapore part, Indonesia part etc) Thanks. Oliverlyc07:47, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
The current 3 hour PSI reading says 153. I bet it's definitely more than that, possibly even in the Hazardous range (based on the scenery outside my house). ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 02:14, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Yeah... It seems like hell from my home. It usually has a nice view of Bukit Timah hill, but currently I can't even see the PIE next to my home. Oliverlyc02:24, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
I'm in Sengkang, so you know it's terrible everywhere. And BTW, it's supposed to be PSI readings on 19 June 2013, not PSI readings in 19 June 2013. ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 02:28, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
No talkbacks needed for now. Your page is always on my watchlist, but now I'm scrutinising it during this haze period, not watching it. ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 02:29, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
It mentions that the UNEP has conducted a workshop on fire-fighting, as well as recommending projects to be started to deal with the basic needs of fire-fighting. Oliverlyc03:10, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Changi Airport's METAR says visibility is 0.50km as of 2:00 am today. I can't find any later reports yet. But yes, the visibility is horrible. Changi Airport has instrument landing systems, where the computer can 'autoland' the plane, so I guess operations should not affected too much. Oliverlyc03:20, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
What about takeoff? They were talking about it in the papers today if I didn't remember wrongly. The Changi weather station should be located at CA, as with all the other weather stations. Anyway, this weather stuff is very important in aviation. ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 03:23, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Here is the latest METAR:METAR WSSS 20th @ 0230Z, wind from 330 at 3 KT, winds varying from 270 to 030, visibility 0300, runway visual range 20R 0700 N, runway visual range 20C 0700 N, Weather: haze, Sky: indefinate ceiling below station, temperature 31, dewpoint 24, altimeter 1009 mb, becoming fm0400 0800 I am an aviation addict, and I know full well that weather is extremely important. Currently Changi is operating using Low Instrument Flight Routes, which is used in the worse weather conditions (worse visibility to be exact). Planes with jet engines are fine (remember, they are using autopilot), but turboprop (propeller) planes will be severely affected as the haze is terrible for their engines. Oliverlyc03:30, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Here: LiveATC. You can even listen to live radio communications between the pilots and the control tower. You will need a METAR translator though - the raw text is very 'weird' in a sense. Oliverlyc03:36, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
What sort of translator? And FYI, the only things I can decipher from there are the visibility (500m), temp (32C), and dew point (21C). The dew point is good now, won't really feel the humidity. ArcticKangaroo (✉ • ✎) 03:38, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
I use this one. Copy and paste the raw METAR text (currently WSSS 200300Z 27006KT 190V310 0500 R20R/0650N R20C/0700N HZ VV008 32/21 Q1008 BECMG FM0400 0800) and click Translate METARs. Oliverlyc03:42, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Yes. Aviation always uses feet (and has caused quite a number of accidents when pilots convert wrongly). Note that it is a few clouds 2200 feet above aerodrome level, not sea level. This means the clouds are 2200 feet above Changi Airport (although the difference between Changi and sea level is insignificant, it can make a lot of difference if the airport was on a mountain). Cheers! Oliverlyc09:43, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
I'll leave it there and the MizaBot archive it... I plan to RfA sometime in the distant future and I don't want people to question why I removed my warning. It will be easier to explain if I just let it go into the archives, you know? :P Oliverlyc09:47, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Oliverlyc. You have new messages at Talk:2013 Southeast Asian haze. Message added 01:24, 21 June 2013 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I appreciate the help on the page. The person that keeps adding false information is getting really annoying and doesn't stop. Fast & Furious (talk) 10:06, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Not sure. You could have clicked on the "Mark this page as patrolled" link. No harm done though - it's going for WP:CSD anyway. Oliverlyc01:47, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Southpark Mall (Colonial Heights, VA)
You reversed my edit of changing the anchors from Dillard's to Dick's Sporting Goods. The Dillard's closed last year and Dick's is opening next month so to say the mall is anchored by Dillard's is inaccurate — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.62.6 (talk) 03:01, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
