Vmavanti (talk) 18:38, 30 September 2019 (UTC) ArbCom 2019 election voter messageDisputed non-free use rationale for File:MGMRecord45.jpg![]() Thank you for uploading File:MGMRecord45.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale. If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. If successful, it is planned to create similar pages for Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Charlie Rich, Larry Williams, Jerry Lee Lewis, Esquerita... I apologize for my poor English and would be very grateful for any corrections and improvements to the style, as well as suggestions for improving the structure of the page. Cheers and rock on! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC) How we will see unregistered usersHi! You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki. When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed. Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help. If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter. We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January. Thank you. /Johan (WMF) 18:12, 4 January 2022 (UTC) New administrator activity requirementThe administrator policy has been updated with new activity requirements following a successful Request for Comment.
