User talk:Geraldk/archive3Majestic TitanToo many are left. You should help us! :-D The Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships (available online in full by searching here) is a common major source in U.S. warship GAs. For A or FA you need to supplement it with books like Battleships: United States Battleships in World War II by Garzke and Dulin, Battleships of World War II by M.J. Whitley, and History of United States Naval Operations in World War II by Samuel Eliot Morrison. For older ships I suggest New York Times archives (if pre-1923), the first two above (if they fought in WWII), and Peter Hore's Battleships of World War I. :-) —Ed (talk • contribs) 22:01, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
BoldingHi. Regarding this edit you made, can you point me to where in the MoS it says that redirect targets can't be bolded in the article body? I'm going off of WP:REDIRECT#PLA, which says to bold redirect targets. Yes, it says that "Normally, we try to make sure that all 'inbound redirects' other than mis-spellings or other obvious close variants of the article title are mentioned in the first couple of paragraphs of the article or section to which the redirect goes." But for a short article like Automobile Manufacturers Association, I don't see the utility of introducing all the different names of the association in the first paragraph, and then have to repeat them soon thereafter. It seems to me that my solution of bolding the redirect targets as they occur is more economical and makes it easier for the reader to grasp each name change, and qualifies under the guideline as not the 'normal' situation that a longer article would have. File source problem with File:James lilley and deng xiaoping.jpg![]() Thanks for uploading File:James lilley and deng xiaoping.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:57, 21 November 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Could you please be sure to include source information about images you upload-- eg, a link if they're from a website, information about what publication if scanned from print, etc. Thanks! -- Infrogmation (talk) 22:57, 21 November 2009 (UTC) Collab?Hey Geraldk, thanks again for supporting 1997 Qayen earthquake's FAC. There are multiple issuses with this list. For example, the list is not in order of population as the article title suggests. Also, there are counties that are not even listed such as Montgomery County, Ohio. There are five counties on the list that are lesser in population than Montgomery County, Ohio so it should be included. These are issues that need to be addressed in order to keep the list in FL status. Thank you! Texas141 (talk) 23:17, 27 April 2011 (UTC) The Bugle: Issue LXI, March 2011
