It's discussed in one of the articles. They apparently have a very short range, and are wildly inaccurate. This source says 50 to 150 yards. But it's an unofficial source. Maybe you can find a better source. Take note that there's a mention in the above link of something that may have had a range of 800 yards. Yeah, I saw that too. I also read that the rocket motors they are using are too underpowered...making 800 yards unlikely. The accuracy must be a total joke too. I guess I'll have to wait till I or someone else can get a verifiable, citable description. I'm just glad I don't have these things landing on my head. This type of bomb is commonly used by the FARC terrorist group in Colombia. They even have made some deadly "improvements", like mixing the scrap metal with human excrement, to cause infection on the soldiers' wounds.

They also tried to launch the mortar from pickup trucks, but they failed.

During the Bojayá Massacre, the FARC cited the poor precision of their weapon as an excuse for the massive assassination inside a church: The building was hit "accidentally" while hundreds of civilians where hiding inside.
