Pushkar Shivkumar Sharma , also known as Puoshkar Sharma ,[ 1] is a Kenyan cricketer [ 2] who has played for the Kenya national cricket team .[ 3]
Sharma, who was born in India, captained the Mumbai Under-16 cricket team .[ 4] [ 5] In 2019, he moved to Kenya and joined Ruaraka Sports Club . He played in the Nairobi Province Cricket Association league, where he became the top scorer with 841 runs in 14 innings.[ 6] He was selected for the Kenya national cricket team in 2022,[ 7] [ 8] making his international debut opening the batting for Kenya in the 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers .[ 9] He played in the 2025 Pearl of Africa T20 Series series[ 10] and for the Kenyan team at the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League later in the year.[ 11] [ 12]
Family
Sharma married Sita Mishra on 7 December 2023.[ 13] The couple had their first child in 2024.[ 14] He lives in Nairobi and works as a marketing manager.[ 15]
