District in Apurímac, Peru
Progreso District is one of the fourteen districts of the Grau Province in Peru.[1]
Geography
One of the highest peaks of the district is Intikancha at approximately 4,700 m (15,400 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]

Ethnic groups
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (86.96%) learnt to speak in childhood, 12.39% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
