American children's writer
Pam Conrad (June 18, 1947 – January 22, 1996) was an American children's writer.[1] Her book Our House: Stories of Levittown was a Newbery Medal finalist.[1] Her book Stonewords won an Edgar Award.
Conrad was born in New York City and graduated from the New School for Social Research.[1] She died of breast cancer on January 22, 1996, at the age of 48.[1] She lived in Rockville Centre, New York, where she raised two daughters.[1]
