Hello From The Other Side, is a 2025 Sri Lankan Sinhalese drama film written and directed by Vinosha Kiriwandeniya and produced by Vijendran Watson for Selvern Films.[1] The film stars Damith Wijayathunga, Dilki Dissanayake and Kanishka Ranabahu in lead roles, where Kamal Deshapriya, Maureen Charuni, Nimal Jayasinghe, Sujeewa Priyal and Vishwajith Gunasekara made supportive roles.[2][3] PlotThe film is centered on three characters: a doctor, a nurse and a professional cricketer and their lives.[1][3] Cast
ProductionThe film marked the maiden cinema direction of Vinosha Kiriwandeniya, who also wrote the script of the film and made line production.[6] The film is produced by Vijendran Watson as his maiden cinema production.[1] Cinematography by Chinthaka D Bandara and editing by Nipuna Fernando.[3] First assistant director is Pradeep K. Rajapaksa and second assistant directors are Anuruddha Gunasekara and Prageeth Madhusankha. Sound mixing handled by Chalaka Perera, color mixing by Asanka Wickramasiri and special effects makeup by Opula Fonseka. Lakmal Sadaruwan, Harsha Perera are the art directors with the assistance of Vidula Dissaka, Sachin Vidanapathiranage and Nilupul Bandara.[3] Music composition done by Yash Nuwansiri with the assistance of Shan Hilary, Vihara Abeygunawardena and Hasitha Pramuditha, where music director is Chalaka Perera. Production planning handled by Harsha Perera and Lakmal Sandaruwan, whereas Nipuna Fernando and Ama Senarath made production management. Costume designed by Mihiraj Nanayakkara. camera operated by Yasas Hettiarachchi and camera focusing by Ashan P. Bandara. Mithun Karunathilaka made scene sound recording and mixing. Lighting controlled by Isuru Udayanga, Lakshitha Chirath made visual effects and Asanka Wickramasiri is the colorist.[3] ReleaseThe premiere of the film was held on 31 July 2025 at 6.30pm at the Scope Cinemas, Colombo.[1] RecognitionThe film received several awards at foreign film festivals.[7] The film won the Best Feature Film Award at the Titan International Film Festival in 2025. The film later received two Special Mention Merit Awards at the IndieFEST Film Awards for the Best Asian Filmmaker and Best Asian Theme.[8] References
