Gadap Town
Gadap Town (Urdu: گڈاپ ٹاؤن ) is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Malir District in the northwestern part of Karachi with the Hub River on its western limits also forming the provincial border between Sindh and Balochistan, while to the north and east are Jamshoro District and the Kirthar Mountains.[2] The amended 2022 Local Election Act introduced by the Sindh government had notified the town system in Karachi. Gadap Town also becomes, one of the three Towns of Malir District, comprises subdivision Gadap, Shah Mureed, Ibrahim Hyderi and parts of Bin Qasim.[3]. Gadap Town spans roughly 1,200 km², making it one of Karachi's largest towns by area. Administrative Status HistoryGadap Town established under the 2001 Local Government Ordinance to form part of Karachi's towns, town system disbanded in 2011; and again, reintroduced in 2022 under the amended Local Election Act 2022.
