Crissay-sur-Manse (French pronunciation: [kʁisɛ syʁ mɑ̃s]) is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France.[3] It is one of the 'most beautiful villages of France' (an official category).[4] The houses are made from white limestone, with mullioned windows. The village is located on the Manse river.
In 2010 it contained two restaurants. There are walking trails and picnic areas signposted in the town.
It was fortified in 1545, and was given to Jacques Turpin II of Crissé by the authority of François I.[6]
