Brickworks Group Representation Constituency
Brickworks Group Representation Constituency (GRC) was a Group Representation Constituency in Bukit Merah, Queenstown and Clementi, Singapore from 1988 to 1997. HistoryIn 1988, following the establishment of group representation constituency and single-member constituency (SMC), Brickworks GRC was formed by merging Alexandra, Brickworks and Queenstown Constituencies.[1] In 1991, the Alexandra ward was carved out of the GRC and the GRC fully absorbed Pasir Panjang GRC.[2] Incumbent MP Tan moved to contest Bedok GRC.[3] In 1997, the GRC was dissolved with the wards merged into Bukit Timah, Tanjong Pagar and West Coast GRCs.[4] Part of Brickworks ward and the whole of Queenstown ward were merged into Tanjong Pagar GRC and the remainder of Brickworks ward alongside the Clementi and West Coast wards merged into West Coast GRC.
