Star in the constellation Hercules
32 Ophiuchi is a single[ 12] star located about 407[ 2] light years away from the Sun in the constellation Hercules . It is moving further away from the Sun with a heliocentric radial velocity of +43 km/s.[ 1] apparent visual magnitude of 4.97.[ 1]
This is an aging red giant star on the asymptotic giant branch [ 4] stellar classification of M3−III.[ 5] core it has expanded to 63 times the radius of the Sun .[ 8] luminosity of the Sun [ 7] photosphere at an effective temperature of around K [ 10]
32 Ophiuchi is a suspected variable star with a brightness range of about 0.1 magnitudes .[ 6]
