2024 Los Angeles Chargers season
65th season in franchise history
The 2024 season is the Los Angeles Chargers ' 55th season in the National Football League (NFL), their 65th overall, their ninth in the Greater Los Angeles Area , and their first under head coach Jim Harbaugh [ 1] and new general manager Joe Hortiz . They will play their home games at SoFi Stadium . The Chargers have at least matched their 5–12 record from 2023 following a Week 9 victory against the Cleveland Browns . They're now looking to improve on that record, make the playoffs after a one-year absence, and end their 14-year AFC West title drought.
This will be the first season since 2012 without wide receiver Keenan Allen on the roster, as he was traded to the Chicago Bears on March 14. This made Joey Bosa the last player that is still on the Chargers during their time in San Diego .[ 2]
