Review

USM Alger is playing its first season in Division d'Honneur under new coach Amokrane Oualiken and at the same time a player, in place of Abdelaziz Ben Tifour, USM Alger and MC Alger in a united team have played several friendly matches with foreign clubs, namely Brazilian São Cristóvão, Spartak Hradec twice and Olympique de Marseille. In the Division d'Honneur, the start was strong with six consecutive victories and only one defeat in the first leg, during the derby against OMR El Annasser and finished in the lead two points behind WA Boufarik, in the Algerian Cup the course was not great, after the victory in the Round of 64 against OM Saint Eugène with a goal by Hamid Bernaoui, then NA Hussein Dey, the march stopped in the Round of 16 against MC Saida.

The last match of the season, USM Alger guarantees its presence in the second division with the new name. Promotion to Nationale I was canceled, and it was only possible to fall from Nationale I to Nationale II and from Nationale II to Division d'Honneur, so that the Nationale I would be with 12 teams only and the Nationale II with 10. USM Alger won a match late in the 24th round against RC Arbaâ, with a double from Lakhdar Guittoun and Bouali. USM Alger finished the season with 72 points behind MC Alger.
