Xanthias ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit 17 rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 110 Metern im Indopazifik und im tropischen Ostpazifik.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax wird bis zu 42 mm lang. Die Regionen sind kaum bis gar nicht abgegrenzt. Der vordere Seitenrand ist mit vier breiten Lappen oder Zähnen bewehrt. Die Scherenbeine sind ungleich groß. Das erste Gonopodium ist verlängert, leicht gebogen und ist dicht vor dem Ende an einem Rand mit einer Reihe langer Borsten und am anderen Rand mit einigen kleinen Dornen besetzt.[2]
