Simodorippe tylota ist eine Art der Krabben und einziger Vertreter der Gattung Simodorippe.[1] Sie bewohnt den Kontinentalhang in einer Tiefe von etwa 400 m im tropischen Atlantik.[2]
Merkmale
Simodorippe tylota wird bis zu 12 mm lang. Der Carapax ist etwa rund und gekörnt. Der Abstand zwischen den beiden äußeren Augenzähnen (Exorbitalzähne) beträgt etwa der Hälfte der maximalen Carapaxbreite. Die Stirn ist kurz und aufwärts gebogen. Sie zeigt drei enge Spalten. Die Antennulen sind länger als die halbe Carapaxbreite. Das zweite und dritte Antennenglied sind zylindrisch. Das Endostom überlappt nicht die Stirn und ist von vorn nicht sichtbar. Die Exopoditen der drei Maxillipeden haben keine Geißel.[2]
