Pseudomedaeus ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit drei rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 1 und 185 Metern im tropischen Atlantik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax wird bis zu 11 mm lang und 1,6- bis 1,7-mal so breit. Die Regionen sind gut abgegrenzt und grobkörnig. Die Stirn ist doppelrandig. Der vordere Seitenrand ist mit vier Zähnen bewehrt. Die Scherenbeine der Männchen sind ungleich groß. Das erste Gonopodium ist verlängert, leicht gebogen und trägt auf einem Rand eine Reihe langer Borsten, auf dem anderem einige kurze Dornen.[2]
