Philippicarcinus ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie Calocarcinidae mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 333 und 510 m im zentralen Indopazifik an den Küsten der Philippinen. Sie sind vermutlich Symbionten, ihr Wirt aber unbekannt.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax ist queroval, der Stirnrand ist gerade. Der vordere Seitenrand ist mit ein oder zwei stumpfen Zähnen bewehrt, von denen der zweite vor der Carapaxmitte liegt. Die Scherenbeine sind asymmetrisch, der Vorderrand ihres Merus ist zahnlos. Die Finger der Schreitbeine haben ein spitzes Ende und keine Querreihe aus dicken Borsten.[2]
