Paramedaeus ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit fünf rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone, den Schelf und den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 288 m im Indopazifik.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax ist bis zu 9 mm lang, oval und 1,4-mal breiter als lang. Die Region 4M ist nicht erkennbar. Der vordere Seitenrand ist so lang wie der hintere und mit deutlichen Zähnen bewehrt. Der sechste Somit des Pleons hat die Kontur eines längsgestellten Rechtecks. Das Telson erreicht nicht die Mitte des vierten Sterniten.[2]
