Paracyclois ist eine Gattung der Krabben mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie kommen vom Schelf bis zum Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 137 und 365 m im tropischen Atlantik, im zentralen Indopazifik und den gemäßigten Breiten des Nordpazifiks vor.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax von Paracyclois wird bis zu 62 mm lang. Er ist annähernd rund, der hintere seitliche Abschnitt ist zu einem dreieckigen Zahn erweitert. Die Stirn ist schmaler als die Augenhöhle und trägt drei Zähne. Die Hand der Scherenbeine hat auf der Innenseite eine vertikal verlaufende Leiste mit Querriefen und ist unregelmäßig granuliert.[2]
