Megaesthesius ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit vier Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln tiefe Gezeitenzone und Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 4 und 250 m in der gemäßigten Klimazone des Nordwestpazifiks und den zentralen Indopazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Die Gattung hat die Merkmale der Megaesthesiinae. Der Carapax wird bis zu 3,5 mm lang. Das zweite Gonopodium hat etwa zwei Drittel der Länge des ersten und ein spatelförmiges Endglied.[2]
