Mabui calculus ist eine Art der Krabben innerhalb der Familie Garthiellidae und einziger Vertreter der Gattung Mabui.[1] Sie besiedelt die Gezeitenzone zwischen 0 und 3 m im zentralen Indopazifik im Bereich der Okinawa-Inseln.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 5 mm lang und queroval, 1,6- bis 1,7-mal so breit wie lang. Der vordere Seitenrand ist unbewehrt, allenfalls zwei oder drei Kerben sind ausgebildet. Die Hand der Scherenbeine ist glatt oder fein gekörnt. Der Finger der größeren, der rechten Chela weist einen deutlichen schneidenden Zahn an der Basis auf. Der Oberrand des Merus der Schreitbeine ist glatt. Die Gonopoden sind rechts länger als links, die Gonopore ist bei Weibchen links größer.[2] Die Asymmetrie in den äußeren Geschlechtsorganen ist einzigartig bei Krabben.[3]
