Iphiculus ist eine Gattung der Krabben in der Familie Iphiculidae mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln sie die tiefe Gezeitenzone (subtidal) und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 11 und 204 m im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Die Gattung Iphiculus hat die Merkmale der Iphiculidae. Der Carapax wird bis zu 15 mm lang und ist breiter als lang. Der vordere Seitenrand hat markante Zähne, von denen der größte an der am weitesten seitlich liegenden Position sitzt, oder weit auseinander stehende kleine Zähne. Der bewegliche Finger der Schere (Chela) öffnet sich in einem Bogen von etwa 120°.[2]
