Hypocolpus ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit zwölf rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 150 m im zentralen und westlichen Indopazifik.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax ist bis zu 53 mm lang und trapezförmig bis breit oval, dabei deutlich breiter als lang. Die Oberfläche ist rau, die Regionen sind abgegrenzt. Der vordere Seitenrand ist gelappt oder gezahnt. Die Öffnungen der subhepatischen Höhle formen keinen konkaven Ausschnitt am vorderen Seitenrand.[2]

Synonym ist Hypocoelus Heller, 1861.[1]
