Homolodromia sind eine Gattung ursprünglicher Krabben (Brachyura) der Familie Homolodromiidae mit sieben Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 375 und 960 m im tropischen Atlantik, im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik, im tropischen Ostpazifik und in der gemäßigten Klimazone Südamerikas.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax wird bis zu 43 mm lang. Die Dactyli der ersten beiden Schreitbeine (P2, P3) sind so lang wie die Propodi und sichelförmig. Die beiden hinteren Schreitbeine (P4, P5) enden mit einer Chela, die Propodi erstrecken sich über die Basis der Dactyli und tragen lange bewegliche Dornen am körperfernen Ende. Das Basalglied der Augenstiele ist unbeweglich.[2]
