Die Fußball-Bezirksliga Gera 1957 war die sechste Austragung der vom Bezirksfachausschuss (BFA) Fußball Gera durchgeführten Bezirksliga Gera. Sie war die höchste Spielklasse im Bezirk Gera und die vierthöchste im Ligasystem auf dem Gebiet des DS.

Die BSG Stahl Silbitz sicherte sich mit einem Punkt Vorsprung auf die punktgleichen Mannschaften der BSG Chemie Elsterberg und der BSG Einheit Rudolstadt den Bezirksmeistertitel. Diese drei Mannschaften stiegen direkt in die übergeordnete II. DDR-Liga auf, die zur Folgesaison von zwei auf fünf Staffeln aufgestockt wurde.

In eine der untergeordneten Bezirksklassestaffeln stieg nach drei Spielzeiten nur die BSG Stahl Eisenberg ab. Im Gegenzug stiegen zur Folgesaison die ersten beiden jeder Bezirksklassestaffel auf. Dies waren die Staffelsieger BSG Chemie Schwarza (Staffel 1) und BSG Fortschritt Elsterberg (Staffel 2), sowie die Zweitplatzierten BSG Fortschritt Pößneck (Staffel 1) und BSG Einheit Schleiz (Staffel 2). Dabei mussten Pößneck (5:1 gegen BSG Motor Königsee) und Schleiz (2:0 gegen BSG Motor Gera-Zwötzen) Entscheidungsspiele gegen ihre punktgleichen Konkurrenten bestreiten.
