Euprognatha ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie Inachoididae mit sechs Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Schelf und den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 17 und 730 m im tropischen Westatlantik und im tropischen Ostpazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 15 mm lang, birnenförmig und mit Höckern, manchmal mit Dornen besetzt. Das Rostrum (mittiger Stirnfortsatz) ist kurz und gegabelt. Das basale Antennenglied trägt eine Längsreihe von Höckern, die etwa parallel zum Seitenrand der Antennulengrube verläuft, sowie einen vorn-seitlichen Zahn. Das erste Schreitbein ist länger als das zweite.[2]

Die Gattung wird in die Unterfamilie Inachoidinae eingeordnet und umfasst folgende Arten:[1]
