Cohors II Hispanorum

Cohors II Hispanorum (deutsch 2. Kohorte der Hispanier) ist die Bezeichnung mehrerer Auxiliareinheiten des römischen Heeres.

Einheiten

  • Durch ein unvollständig erhaltenes Militärdiplom[1] ist belegt, dass eine Cohors II Hispanorum um 128/129 in der Provinz Africa stationiert war.[2] Die Einheit ist in Africa/Numidia darüber hinaus durch zwei Inschriften[3] und einen Ziegel[4] belegt.[5][6]
  • Durch vier Diplome[7] ist belegt, dass eine Cohors II Hispanorum 178 in der Provinz Britannia stationiert war.[8] John Spaul ordnet diese Einheit der Cohors II Hispanorum pia fidelis equitata zu; er nimmt an, dass die Kohorte zwischen 130 und 179 nach Britannia verlegt wurde.[9]
