Vorkommen
Amazonomyces sprucei kommt in Südamerika vor. Nachweise gibt es in Guyana und Costa Rica. Die Art lebt symbiotisch als Flechte auf Blättern. Vertreten wird sie hauptsächlich in feuchten submontanen Regenwäldern, oder im Übergang zu mesischen Tieflandregenwäldern.[1]
Merkmale
Die Flechte des Pilzes wächst gräulich gelb bis olivgrün und flach. Sie lebt ausschließlich auf Blättern.[1]
