Tonnoiriella és un gènere d'insectes dípters pertanyent a la família dels psicòdids present a Euràsia com ara, Irlanda,[3] la Gran Bretanya,[4] els Països Baixos,[5] Bèlgica,[6] Espanya (incloent-hi Catalunya),[7][8][9] Alemanya,[10] Polònia,[11] Finlàndia[12] (incloent-hi les illes Åland),[13] Txèquia,[14][15] Eslovàquia, Noruega,[16] les illes de Sardenya i Còrsega, el territori de l'antiga República Federal Socialista de Iugoslàvia,[17] Grècia,[18] Turquia,[19][20] el Líban,[21] Síria i Geòrgia -Abkhàzia-, incloent-hi els Carpats[22] i el riu Jordà)[23] i Àfrica (el Marroc,[24] Tanzània i Sud-àfrica -KwaZulu-Natal-).[25][26][27][28][29]
