Želimir Žilnik

Želimir Žilnik srpski je i jugoslovenski filmski režiser, autor brojnih igranih i dokumentarnih filmova. Rođen je 8. septembra 1942. u Nišu. Nagrađivan je na brojnim međunarodnim i domaćim filmskim festivalima.

Karijera

Od samog starta profesionalnog rada na filmu, Žilnik je okrenut savremenim temama, koje uključuju društvenu, političku i ekonomsku kritiku svakodnevice (Žurnal o omladini na selu, zimi (1967), Pioniri maleni, mi smo vojska prava, svakog dana ničemo ko zelena trava (1968), Nezaposleni ljudi (1968) i Lipanjska gibanja (1969), Crni film (1971), Ustanak u Jasku (1973) i drugi. Studentske demonstracije 1968. godine, te veliki potres iste godine, poslije okupacije Čehoslovačke, tema su i Žilnikovog prvog igranog filma Rani radovi (1969) koji je nagrađen Zlatnim medvedom na Berlinskom filmskom festivalu, kao i sa četiri nagrade u Puli te godine. Većina njegovih filmskih djela uklapa se u tendencije tzv. političkoga filma, a neki sadrže i izrazite komponente groteske. Posebnu pažnju gledalaca Žilnik je privukao povratkom dokumentarizmu, filmom istine Tito po drugi put među Srbima (1993).[1]
