Garkan Rural District (Persian: دهستان گركن)[3][a] is in Garkan-e Jonubi District of Mobarakeh County, Isfahan province, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Zibashahr.[5][b]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,892 in 2,344 households.[6] There were 9,532 inhabitants in 2,806 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,296 in 2,904 households. The most populous of its 23 villages was Fakhrabad, with 1,862 people.[2]
